Angus McSmudge is one of the gloomiest little boys.  He never plays with anyone, and he owns not a single toy. He only sits and stares all day into a deep valley, from his church on the cliff (which is balanced there... Just barely).

This boy McSmudge, rarely has need to talk.  And when he does he stutters, mumbles and squawks.  But he is quite the smart child, as he reads between stares.  He makes the most delicious lemon scones, and there is nothing he can't repair.

McSmudge was created devoid of any color.  He is pale and gray and looks like no other.  When asked why, he replies: "I am un-f-finished".  He shoots them a glance and soon everyone has vanished.

Although he likes solitude, there is one special person (besides his pets R-rat and B-bat, his only other diversion).  That lucky individual is Miss Nancy Purpleshoes. She's a plucky little girl who tries to get McSmudge to "let loose".

His stories all end with something horrible or sad.  But through it all, he never gets remotely bored or mad.  No matter what happens each day, by time the sun sets, he'll always have his quiet church...  And two mammal-rodent pets.

Now don't you fret, soon you'll be reading all his tales.  This March expect information on book purchase details.

With all that being said, and though it may have its faults, this story is for both kids and certain gloomy adults.
